AEI♥U Challenge–An Announcement!

Hello sweet Avery Elle AEI♥U Challenge fans!

Before I get to the business of today, I wanted to let you know we’ll be back tomorrow to announce the winners of the February challenge.

I’m popping in today to share a little announcement.  The February challenge was the last challenge . . . for now.  We’ve decided to put the AEI♥U Challenge on hiatus!!  We want to thank all of our participants – past and present!!  Seeing your beautiful work featuring Avery Elle products has been an absolute joy, and we are ever so grateful to you all for playing along throughout the challenge history.  Without our players, the AEI♥U Challenge would be a pretty boring place to hang around!  LOL  So thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for playing along – it truly made our hearts smile with every single project loaded into our challenge gallery.

We’d also like to thank our challenge design team – past and present – for creating amazing and inspirational projects month after month.  You all are incredibly talented, and we feel so beyond lucky that you all shared your awesome talent with all of us. We can’t thank you enough for being a part of the Avery Elle family.

Avery Elle has some super fun things planned to recognize and showcase the wonderful work of our customers, so please stay tuned.  You’re NOT going to want to miss a single thing!  And again, please stop by tomorrow for the announcement of the February AEI♥U Challenge Winners!!  Until then, have a great day!!

We are thrilled to little bits to announce that Ashley Marcu has accepted a spot on the team – and we can’t wait to share her amazing talent with you all!  Here’s a little bit about Ashley:

Hi, I’m Ashley Marcu. I live in a suburb near Seattle, Washington with my husband and 3 little kids. I started crafting as a full time hobby after the birth of my first child and enjoy creating every day. I love creating with stamps, dies and patterned paper. Layering is my favorite thing to do! When I’m not crafting I enjoy outdoor activities with my kids, helping out at school and watching soccer and football! Go Sounders and Seahawks! Avery Elle is one of the best companies and I am honored to create for their challenge team!

Yay!!  Welcome to the team, Ashley!!  I just know our players are going to love you and your work as much as we do!!

So, it’s finally time to announce the winners from the last AEI♥U Challenge – and you all made it VERY tough to decide!!!  Without further ado, here are the two winners:

Announcing the New AEI♥U Challenge Team!!

Hello Friends!

Well, it's a bittersweet day today.  We are saying goodbye to our previous AEI♥U Challenge Team.  We are so grateful for all the amazing and inspiring designs that Heather Hoffman and Lorraine Marasigan have created for us and for you all!  You both will be greatly missed!! Thank you for all you've done to make the AEI♥U Challege what it is today!

We are so excited to introduce you to the new crew of amazingly talented ladies that have agreed to create projects in response to our upcoming AEI♥U challenges, and I know they will inspire and amaze you!  Welcome, ladies!!

 Jean Manis
Right As Rain

I’m a papercrafter living in the Pacific Northwest with my husband of 27 years, with whom I’ve raised two sons. I like all things British, I’m an avid mystery novel reader, and I’m especially happy on sunny days. Before leaving the workplace to be a stay-at-home mother, I worked as a customer support engineer for a supercomputer manufacturer. I am currently a docent-in-training at the Bellevue Arts Museum.

Amy Kolling

Hello!  My name is Amy Kolling.  I live in Topeka, Kansas with my 2 ornery kids and sweet hubby.  Beside my crafty resume, I work full time as a Dialysis RN at one of the largest clinics within the company.  I started scrapbooking nearly 20 years ago with layouts using my wedding photos.  Once I found stamping (via a Stampin' Up friend), I became a die-hard cardmaker . . . there was just something about all the matchy ink and papers that had me hook, line, and sinker!  I would not be where I am today without the amazing stamping community of friends that have encouraged me from the very beginning.  I am a CAS, with a few layers, kind of stamper but like to try all sorts of techniques that may or may not take me out of my comfort zone.  You can find me over at my blog:  Stamp-n-Paradise.  I am so excited to work alongside the rest of the amazing challenge team to bring you inspiration using Avery Elle!

Lindsay Amrhein

Hi!  My name is Lindsay Amrhein, and you might have seen me around.  I adore making cards, and sharing them on my blog, Note To Self, for going on over 4 years now!  I enjoy many other things besides, like biking, camping, cooking, and soon, farm living!  I am the proud mom of two boys, Jonathan and Dallas, who have an endless daily reserve of energy.  I am wife to the most patient, and loving man a woman could ask for.  I am so glad I am able to provide inspiration for you on the AEI♥U Challenge blog!
Karolyn Loncon

I’m a retired Legal Assistant, married to Garry since 1980, and mom to Amy (newly married to Joe) and Ashley (married to Blake and the mother to my grandkids, Brecken, Brenner and Brynley.)  I’m blessed to live in Issaquah, Washington in the summer, and Chandler, Arizona in the winter – the best of both worlds!  I love all things paper crafting, but especially stamping and card-making.  I love to laugh, shop, travel, and play BINGO (don’t judge!  LOL)  I would describe my personal crafting style as a mix of clean and simple, graphic, and a bit of fun and cute thrown in for good measure.

There you have it!  This group of uber talented designers will be sharing their first AEI♥U Challenge projects with you starting on April 1st - just a few days away!  So hold on to your hats, people – you’re about to have a great time with them!!   We’d love for you to come play!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Announcing the New AEI♥U Challenge Team!

NOTE:  IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR THE CURRENT AEI♥U CHALLENGE, PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Hello Friends!!

We are so excited to introduce you to the new crew of amazingly talented ladies that have agreed to create projects in response to our upcoming AEI♥U challenges, and I know they will inspire and amaze you!

Lorraine Marasigan
Created By Lorraine

My love for paper and crafting began when my sister took me to a rubber stamp convention over 20 years ago.  Since then I’ve explored the arts of cardmaking, scrapbooking, blogging, and most recently party planning.  Originally from northern California, I now call NYC home.  I work part-time in philanthropy supporting arts and social justice organizations across the country and part-time at a local chocolate shop serving up tasty sweets.  In my spare time, I make, bake, and create all sorts of things from my home in Brooklyn, NY...and my goal is to make sure that love and good wishes go into everything I do.

Heather Hoffman
Houses Built of Cards

My name is Heather, and I blog over at Houses Built of Cards. I have been married for 14 years to the man of my dreams, and have two sweet daughters age 11 and almost 10 that I homeschool. I absolutely LOVE making cards – and also enjoy scrapbooking memories of my family. I lived my entire life up until about two years in Northwestern Washington State, and now live in a very small town in Wyoming – although that is about to change. We don’t know exactly when or where we are moving yet, but are sure it will be another great adventure! If you aren’t familiar with my blog name, then let me explain a little! When I started card making, I quickly found that I was making WAY more cards than I could possibly use. Thanks in part to my young daughters and something they both cared deeply for, I decided to direct all the proceeds from the sales of my cards to the building of houses for widows and their children in Burundi, Africa, through a ministry called Sister Connection. Building one house is amazingly just $600!!! I just finished the money portion of my 5th house, and am continuing to work toward a 6th. If you are interested, you can read more about that HERE.

I am super excited to be joining the AEI♥U Challenge team! Starting with the very first time I tried them, I have never failed to be impressed with the incredible quality and perfectly crisp and clear images I get – not to mention the beautiful images, sentiments, and designs!
